Sur-Ryl Marketing is expanding our freelance roster of talented videographers to support client projects across government, nonprofit, and mission-driven organizations.
Our videographers play an important role in capturing authentic stories, meaningful moments, and compelling visuals that help organizations communicate their impact. Projects may include conferences, community events, leadership interviews, brand storytelling, and social media content.
This is a project-based freelance opportunity. Selected videographers will be added to our creative bench and engaged as opportunities arise.
We are looking for professionals who are not only technically skilled, but also thoughtful about how footage will be used across marketing channels, including social media, websites, presentations, and campaigns.
Responsibilities may vary by project but typically include:
• Capture high-quality video at events, interviews, and branded shoots
• Follow creative briefs, shot lists, and production guidelines provided by Sur-Ryl Marketing
• Capture footage that supports multiple use cases (social media clips, highlight reels, testimonials, marketing content, etc.)
• Ensure proper lighting, audio, framing, and composition during shoots
• Capture b-roll footage that enhances storytelling and visual narrative
• Collaborate with Sur-Ryl Marketing team members and client stakeholders on site
• Maintain professionalism when working with clients, speakers, executives, or community members
• Organize and deliver raw footage and project files according to specified formats and timelines
• Occasionally assist with basic editing or provide footage optimized for social media or marketing use
• Proven experience in videography, preferably within marketing, brand storytelling, events, or documentary-style production
• Strong understanding of how video content supports marketing and communications goals
• Ability to capture footage that works across platforms (website, social media, presentations, campaigns)
• Experience filming conferences, interviews, corporate storytelling, or nonprofit/community events
• Reliable equipment including professional camera(s), lenses, audio gear, and stabilization tools
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with creative teams
• Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with clients
• Ability to follow direction while also anticipating key moments worth capturing
Bonus experience:
• Drone footage (licensed operators preferred)
• Editing experience in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar tools
• Experience capturing vertical video and social-optimized footage
