Summary
Sur-Ryl Marketing (SM) is a story-led marketing agency partnering with mission-driven organizations across government, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. We're building out our freelance design bench and looking for a mid-to-senior graphic designer who can drop into a range of client work and deliver polished, on-brand visuals with minimal hand-holding.
About the Role
You'll translate creative direction into strong, original work across marketing and communications materials. You won't be starting from templates. This role requires a real understanding of layout, hierarchy, and visual storytelling, along with the ability to execute accurately within established brand systems.
We're Seeking Someone Who:
Has 5+ years of professional design experience, ideally including agency work
Brings a strong portfolio of original, thoughtful design across digital and print
Can take creative direction and run with it, rather than needing step-by-step instruction
Works fluently within established brand guidelines and design systems
Is detail-oriented, dependable, and communicates clearly
You'll Work On:
Campaign assets, social graphics, and web visuals
Presentations, reports, and one-pagers
Branded templates and visual systems
Print collateral including brochures and event materials
Tools:
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required. Figma required. Canva a plus.
Working Style & Compensation
Freelance engagements with potential for ongoing work. Remote, U.S.-based. We prefer a flat monthly rate for consistent, ongoing collaboration, with hourly considered for variable or short-term work. In your application, please share both your preferred monthly rate and your hourly rate.
